In The Storm

I shall cry, silent like a blanket,

for you, my Joy, not to see my tears

I shall sing melodies of hope,

for you, not to hear the lament,

of my soul echoing prayers of peace.

I will hold you,

shivering without tremors,

for you, to feel my strength and not my fears.

I will caress your hair,

blowing wind of serenity,

burying my torment in expanses of flowers.

I shall see with your eyes of wonder,

share the mysteries of life,

coloring with dreams the darkness of my secret pain.

I will stand fierce and solid,

for you not to taste the liquid poison sprinkling my heart.

I will give you blue skies and hidden rainbows,

rocking the clouds to sleep.

Your little hands I shall kiss

with light lips of tenderness,

to ease the heavy weight of our shadows.

I will keep you from falling

in my deep endless precipice,

protecting you from the storm

and the cold black night of my being,

where you are my only light,

my saviour,

the blessing reason of my existence.

The marriage between poetry and music has been with us for centuries. This reviewer discovered another excellent example of this with a collection of music, released in 2011, called “Absolute Gravity” by PoeticBeatz. This is a collaboration between Laura Lme (Poet) and Tom Cloverfield (Producer). For this production they also brought in the voice and music of Cass Ferre. This trio presents to us world class pieces of electronic beats.

The music presented by Cass Ferre on each track causes many emotions in the first six tracks. “Life” starts with a dramatic feel that carries on throughout this collection. This theme of music is mixed beautifully with the elements of classical music, “Dreams” and “Tears” bringing a dreamy, romantic feel.

The vocal talents of Cass Ferre are sincerely showcased on the tracks, “Moments” and “Whispers”. The harmony voices added to each track will leave you entranced with the music and vocals that accompany it. The production and arrangement of Tom Cloverfield is truly highlighted during these tracks.

Not to be lost without this excellent collection are the words of Laura Lme. There are subjects of spirituality, growth and romance. The team of Cass Ferre and Tom Cloverfield never let the words come to us unclear or muffled. You clearly can hear what the message is.

To this reviewer, the highlight of this whole package of music is the closing tracking, “Absolute Gravity”. Sung by Laura Lme against the music provided by Tom Cloverfield gives a positive message while giving a huge club feel.

“Absolute Gravity” and its mixes will keep you weaving and bobbing in the clubs or at home with the world class production given to it. For anyone that is a fan of this music this package is just for you.

In “Absolute Gravity”, Laura LME reinvents her poetry as the lyrical interposition to hypnotic grooves.
