TIME RUNS WITH ME
In the maze of hours and minutes
on silver lines of seconds
Time gets closer
sitting on a bench with me
it has your eyes and your hands
it holds your smile
whispering words of wisdom
following my heart
in perfect waves
crashing against the walls
of my restless day
And when I stop
Time gets to me
with perfect timing signs
shaking my soul
pretending to stay still
resting in the light of bright moments
little shining stars of happiness
under a new moon
full and round
like these big circles of fire
on the sand of an hourglass
holding me back
far away from you…
Time runs with me
then against me
giving me aches and tears
flashbacks and visions
pulling the strings
of random events
directed by destiny
produced by fate!

This is beautiful….You are extremely talented!! Please keep on sharing your thoughts! The world needs them!
Your poetry paints such vivid, lovely pictures Laura. Thanks so much for sharing it!
Thank You ALL for your comments, so grateful… I feel blessed by your words… In all my verses I always try to reveal and share my heart and soul and in these ones I wanted to express the difficulty of dealing with time… that gives and takes away restlessly, with undiscussed power!

This statement so very well clarifies my intent for this piece “The Paradox Of Time” >>> http://ow.ly/GpwS
Thanks again…

A beautiful opening image, the hours and minutes and seconds circling in a labyrinth, leading to a poetic discourse on the nature of time. A great read!
The book is published – hooray! I have tried to order 2 copies, but my Italian is pitiful. I hope I was successful – I can’t wait.
Kind Regards
Ann
